Sonia's career spans twenty years in marketing and business, mostly in pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing and advertising. She decided to move her focus and use her skills as a mentor and advisor to organisations that aim to shift consciousness. This is the work she continues today. Here she began working with the Founder of Wake-Up Sydney; the Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby on the campaign for equal marriage; the Byron Bay Writers Festival as a Consultant Director of Sponsorship; assistance on organisational branding working with a Board member in the deaf community, among other projects.

Sonia worked 15 years in pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing & advertising, and ran her own business consultancy. She was the General Manager of GREY Healthcare, Australia and over the years her clients have spanned blue chip multinationals, advertising agencies and smaller firms including Eli Lilly, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Allergan, AMGEN, HCN Research Division, ROCHE Diagnostics, Ogilvy PR Health, Sudler & Hennessey and IntraMed, among others.

Earlier in her career, Sonia worked in marketing for FH Faulding, Merck Sharp & Dohme and spent one year working with alza corporation, California on an internship through Stanford University. She has a Bachelor of Business, Marketing.

Sonia was invited to blog on THINKTANK, the blogging site for FASTTHINKING - Australia's Innovation magazine, where today she shares ideas on shifting consciousness in life and in business.

She writes for various magazines on Soul, Spirit, Consciousness and Business and is currently writing a non-fiction novel on the theme of 'Trust'.

Her photographic work sells as greeting cards in bookshops throughout Australia, limited edition prints and donated pieces to charities like PRASAD. She collaborates with Kim Carey on many projects and has designed book covers and websites including for leading artist Bettina McMahon, www.bettinamcmahon.com

Her life today is about being in synergy with all of who she is. In that vein she has let many potential jobs fall aside to pursue a lifestyle and work that enhances her world.

Photographic Inspiration:

Beyond my instinctive and somewhat limited and habitual sight, is a world of amazement and vision that I try to capture in moments at a time. This takes me on a new journey. I stop and gather the preciousness of nature and witness the vibrational patterns that make up other worlds parallel to my own. Time stops for me here.

My desire is to find harmony and enrichment within all of the project’s I undertake. I am inspired by both nature and the Divine and am open to discovering and sharing new possibilities for my work whilst following events the Universe places before me. Many of my works have a single aim - to get in closer. Each subject finds their own space to be seen and be given their own stage to shine, offering dynamic access to their world within.

The majority of my images have been captured on film. I prefer the construction of images in the film format. My eye has learned this and I find it is an easier and more enhancing composition. Yet I have begun experimenting with the digital form, aiming to find the unique style it will add to my images.

Developing black and white photographs in the dark room is another world unto itself. images 'appear' from seemingly nowhere right before my eyes. This thrill will stay with me forever and is something I always wish to return to.

Today my focus is on capturing and connecting with life in both the visual and written form. I see these two communication mediums as complementary and my work style respond to this. While both require attention, my need is to be taken out of my head and into my heart and soul and to share this with others through my self expression.
